NEW YORK (CNN/Money) -Generic drugs, including Viagra, are being used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), a growing concern in the United States. According to a recent survey by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), nearly half of the prescriptions for erectile dysfunction drugs were filled in the U. S., with Viagra accounting for around 60 percent of prescriptions in the U. The other 25 percent of prescriptions filled in the U. were written for the other 30 percent of prescriptions filled in the United States. This statistic is particularly alarming, given that the drug industry is increasingly being pressured into producing more drugs, including erectile dysfunction drugs, with a growing number of patients seeking to improve their health.
The survey, conducted by the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy, has shown that in the past two decades, erectile dysfunction drugs, including Viagra, have dominated the market. A four-pack of the tablets will cost £19.99 and an eight-pack £34.99.
Men who buy it will be advised that they can take a 50 mg tablet an hour before having sex, but should not use more than one pill a day.

“Our hope is that the availability of Viagra Connect in pharmacies will encourage men who do nothing about their erectile dysfunction to seek help, and encourage those who are inclined to seek help to do so sooner.”
